blickpunkt identität

Blickpunkt Identität is specialized in developing methods and tools for integrating disadvantaged persons into work life. Based upon the experiences of the self-directed learning methodology, which formed the didactic basis of the “LOT-Haus” (Lernen, Orienteren, Tun), in the Austrian EQUAL partnership “An der offenen Grenze” (2002-2004), the non profit association has launched various successful courses for long term unemployed people. The range of services, Blickpunkt Identität offers, also covers individual coaching and counselling, especially for disadvantaged and low-level educated learners.

The non profit association has also been active in providing trainings to female returners. By order of the Lower Austrian job centre the institution has successfully organised training measurements for women of all ages who want to enter into employment again.

On the level of the management exists a lot of experience in the organisation and realisation of European cooperations. Blickpunkt Identität has coordinated three European Projects so far and has participated in several projects funded under Lifelong Learning and Erasmus+.

Since 2009 the non profit association has successfully developed tools and instruments to support students and apprentices at risk of dropping out of the educational system. In Austria Blickpunkt Identität has implemented the „Stop Dropout programme“ originated from the multi awarded Leonardo da Vinci TOI project „Stop Dropout“ in different kinds of settings and contexts. By order of the Austrian ministry of education and art the association developed guidelines for teachers and headmasters including tools and instruments to reduce the dropout rates in Austrian schools.
